This workshop is designed for Occupational Therapists who want greater confidence, clarity, and capability when prescribing Assistive Technology (AT) under the NDIS.
Assistive Technology can feel complex and overwhelming. This session cuts through the jargon, simplifies the process, and strengthens your understanding of the OT’s role across all levels of AT prescription—so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
You’ll gain practical, real‑world insight into navigating NDIS rules and applying the AT Operational Guidelines effectively. The workshop will walk you through AT pathways based on risk and cost, covering assessments, trials, reporting, and evidence requirements, so you know exactly what’s expected and how to achieve successful outcomes for your clients.
We’ll also unpack the structure of the improved hybrid AT template, explore the mid‑cost AT template, and share examples of the evidence that supports strong, defensible AT applications.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with clearer processes, stronger clinical confidence, and practical tools you can apply immediately, helping you advocate more effectively for your clients and streamline your AT practice.
All attendees will receive an attendance certificate for their professional development requirements.
