The wheelchair is the symbolic sign of the disabled. When people think about what a disabled person would look like the wheelchair is usually the first on their mind.
Since its invention in the 1783 with the famous Bath wheelchair by John Dawson there has been many improvements made to the wheelchair to better enhance its performance and comfort for the users involved.
The first motorized wheelchair was made in 1953 by George Klein to assist injured WWII veterans, since then motorized wheelchairs have differed from traditional wheelchairs in that users do not need to continually move the wheels manually, as that can become tiring.
Active Mobility Systems always seeks to find new ways to help our customers and that’s why we have a wide range of power wheelchairs from Pride Mobility, Shoprider and now Quantum.
On November 14 AMS will be hosting Quantum’s official launch of its newest product, the iLevel powered wheelchair and its accompanying Q-Logic 3 Advanced Drive Control System.
You can register for the event and reserve your place.

So…what’s new about the iLevel?
The iLevel improves daily functionality and quality of life by allowing the user to be fully elevated while at walking speed.
What does this mean? It means that instead of the user having to look up when speaking with another person or reaching for something above them they can now lift themselves to…well…iLevel!
Even in this state they can continue moving allowing for a comfortable conversation regardless of whether or not you’re stationary or moving and with a height of 12 feet anything is possible.
